Since 2016 and on-going, I am acting as a freelance consultant for some Egyptian companies in the oil & gas industry such as Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (Enppi), Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC), General Petroleum Company (GPC), Petrosafe and International Consulting Engineers (ICE) providing technical consultation regarding materials selection, cathodic protection, paintings and coatings.
In addition, I conduct training sessions in corrosion, asset integrity and corrosion control techniques. Such courses are conducted locally through Enppi for oil & gas companies such as Gasco. Gupco, Petrojet, GPC and some Libyan companies. Many courses were conducted abroad in UAE (ADNOC), Nigeria (TOTAL), Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO), Saudi-European Petrochemical Company (Ibn Zahr – SABIC), Oman Global Refineries (OQ), Kuwait (KNPC) and Saudi Power Procurement Company – Riyadh.
Before that, I held the positions of Assistance General Manager and Materials and Corrosion Department Head in Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (Enppi) for fourteen (14) years.
Followed by one year as Senior Lead Material and Corrosion Specialist at Wood Group Integrity Management – London - UK.
Then, Principal Corrosion Engineer Consultant for five (5) years at Petrofac International Ltd – Sharjah – UAE.
